XdbE - Project Introduction

Bringing the Internet to the next level together!

XdbE is an open, simple, powerful, robust and speedy Global Social Graph aggregator designed for sharing user data between Online Communities over HTTP.

What problem do we solve?

Continuing rapid growth of Online Communities lead us all into a situation where nearly every one of us had become a member of not just one but many online communities. Every day the amount of Social Graphs, i.e. our connections and membership affiliations, is continuing to grow and there is no way out the situation when we have been forced to multiply our data again, again and again - each time when we register and re-declare our relationships, wasting our time and nerves. Distortions and inaccuracies in that "again, again and again" process are just unavoidable and continue to grow exponentially. To resolve such difficult situation we need to stop inefficient Social Graph duplicating process, i.e. to aggregate all Social Graphs in one place, owned by no one but shared by everyone, and to give user effective control over his or her data from that place. XdbE project is an innovative way of data sharing across the Internet and Social Grahs aggregation. It allows user data to be quickly shared and then replicated across multiple Online Communities through XdbE Network. It is open for anyone and everyone to participate in data sharing process through our freely redistributed system.

Sharing is Caring - XdbE Model
XdbE is about sharing and this concept is so important that it makes a perfect sense to make it more and more explicit. First of all who shares what. Online Communities share their data sending it to XdbE. XdbE DS and RS operators share their bandwidth... by Nick on 11 Aug 08
User Data - Privacy, Ownership and AGL

Introduction to Project Terminology - OCS, DSC, DSS, DC

On XdbE Network Data Security
One of the most important aspects of XdbE Architecture is system security. As XdbE core stores a lot of user data we should design the system in such a way as not to allow unauthorised data insertion (data poisoning) into the system or mailcious data... by Ansy on 18 May 08
